Dr. Rich Reinhold
Chiropractor/Owner
BS, University of Pennsylvania
DC, Palmer College of Chiropractic
I grew up on Long Island in New York as the third of four children. I was very active in sports and music and focused on doing well academically. Baseball was my passion, and I played NCAA Division I baseball as a pitcher for the University of Pennsylvania.
I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and earned my B.S.E.E. in 1986. Following graduate work toward a Masters Degree in Engineering at the University of Delaware, I worked as a telecommunications consultant and product manager for 4 years in Northern Virginia before deciding to attend chiropractic school at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
My career change has a great deal to do with my own experiences with chiropractic following a sports injury combined with a fascination for biomechanics from my involvement with sports and engineering.
I graduated first in my class at Palmer College in June of 1995 and opened Reinhold Chiropractic Group (originally called Church Point Chiropractic) in October 1995. I have a heart for service and helping my patients truly understand the process of spinal correction and the value of maintaining spinal health throughout a lifetime.
I have tried to create a practice I would be happy to send my own family to, one that is the best chiropractic group in Hampton Roads. Clinically, I take a unique engineering approach to spinal care based on a Chiropractic Biophysics analysis.
Dr. Travis Davis
Chiropractor
BS, Virginia Tech
DC, Sherman College of Chiropractic
From the time I was a kid, sports were more a way of life than a hobby for me, and I played all I could through my spring 1990 graduation from high school. I injured my back in the last football game of my junior year. It was a minor injury with major future implications.
I left for Virginia Tech in the fall of 1990 with plans to major in Exercise Physiology and walk on to the football team. The coaches thought my time would be better spent studying than playing major college football (i.e. I was too slow & too small). Suddenly my athletic career would be strictly intramural. I got a flyer in the mail from a chiropractic college my freshman year that did not require postage, so I sent it in. I began to research what a chiropractor was and eventually served a stint as an intern for a local doctor before graduating in 1994.
I never liked to take medicine when I was young and often refused (annoying my mom in the process). So when I found out Sherman College of Chiropractic was focused on health and wellness (some schools and doctors focus on pain and symptoms), my next step was to enroll in 1995. This is really where I learned what a chiropractor was and the direction my life would take. This is also where I saw the real miracles in other people that I hadn’t needed myself. As I learned that health and wellness is a human being’s natural state, I understood that my childhood beliefs were not random rebellion.
I graduated in 1998 and–deciding that I like the ocean a lot–took a position as an associate doctor in Norfolk in 1999. There I learned what a real, functioning office was like. I am proud to serve as part of Reinhold Chiropractic Group, the best chiropractic group in Hampton Roads, and I look forward to working with you!
Dr. Erika Lackey
Chiropractor
BS, Old Dominion University
DC, Palmer College of Chiropractic
I am a native of Virginia Beach and an alumna of Frank W. Cox High School, Class of ’08. I was always a very active person and passionate about health and wellness. My interest in good health and exercise led me to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science through Old Dominion University in 2013.
I was first introduced to chiropractic as a teenager when a relative recommended that I seek chiropractic care to help with my chronic headaches and migraines. Getting adjusted changed my life and I no longer suffered with daily headaches. Because Chiropractic care significantly improved my quality of life and allowed me to not be dependent on taking medication, I chose to follow the path of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic so I could help others.
I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida in 2017 and returned to Virginia Beach to start my career. After working several years as an Associate Chiropractor in Portsmouth, VA, I had the good fortune to join Dr. Rienhold and his talented team in Virginia Beach and Suffolk.
I met my Husband, Adam, in Chiropractic school and he now practices in Norfolk. We have two sons, Cory and Owen, who are absolutely amazing and are the light of our lives! I am proud to be one of the team at Reinhold Chiropractic Group, dedicated to helping the community to achieve optimal health and happiness.
Dr. Skylar Dickerson
Chiropractor
BS, Life University
DC, Life University
Hi, I’m Dr. Skylar Dickerson! I was born and raised in Gainesville, Texas, where I grew up playing tennis, basketball, running cross country, and participating in school speaking events. Sports and staying active were always a big part of my life, and they planted the seeds for my love of health and movement.
My journey into chiropractic began in an unexpected way. While studying biomedical engineering at North Central Texas College, I started working at a local chiropractic office as a chiropractic assistant. Day after day, I saw people walk in with pain and walk out with relief, energy, and a renewed sense of themselves. Watching those transformations was inspiring—I wanted to be the one helping people feel that way and before long, I knew chiropractic was the path I was meant to follow.
That decision led me to Life University in Marietta, Georgia, a school with a strong vitalistic philosophy that resonated deeply with me. The focus on holistic, natural health care and treating the body as an interconnected system motivated me to fully commit to chiropractic. I earned my Bachelor’s in Biology and completed my Doctorate for Chiropractic in 2024.
In July 2024, I made another big move—this time to Virginia Beach. Part of the reason was professional growth, but a big part was personal: it gave me the chance to live with my best friend of over 14 years, who serves in the Navy. We’d always dreamed of sharing a home one day, and this move finally made it possible. Soon after, in July 2025, I joined Reinhold Chiropractic Group.
I’m eager to bring new energy, knowledge, and a fresh perspective to patient care. I look forward to growing alongside my patients, learning from each experience, and being part of their journeys toward better health.
